Amazon supports reading, distributing Kindle – Onet.pl

Reports show that in many countries the level of readership in recent years has significantly decreased and many people have long not have read a single book. Without going into the reasons for this state of affairs, Amazon intends to take action, which should somewhat improve this situation.

The US company has just announced a new initiative called Kindle Reading Fund, which is to support reading. As part of the project, the company will support literacy programs organized in developing countries, giving them free reader Kindle and Kindle Fire tablets. The device will also go to schools, libraries, hospitals and non-profit organizations from all over the world.

to ensure that the device will go into the right hands, Amazon has joined forces with the non-profit organization called Worldreader, which provides ebooks for children and families living in developing countries . This is not the first such cooperation, since previously the two entities together provide digital books to 61 libraries in Kenya.
