8 Review of Kindle – the cheapest Kindle has never been so good. It lacks only one thing – Antyweb

8. generation Kindle is not a revolutionary product. Truth be told differences compared to the previous version are very subtle. For this reason, I want to first of all in his article concentrate on what’s found in the tested reader. The official premiere took place in June 2016 year. It is a completely different category than the Voyage of equipment or Oasis – located on the exact opposite end of the offer. Price in the German Amazon is 79.99 euros, per gives about 350 zlotys. We do not pay at the same time for the shipment. Is this the best ebook reader for the money?

Appearance and performance

The design of the Kindle reader, not counting the model Oasis, for a long time does not pass major transformations. Kindle 8 in this respect is not surprising. The reader is a slimmer, thinner and lighter than its predecessor. For the test model got dark (dark gray actually), but the offer is also a white version. The dimensions of 160 mm x 115 mm x 9.1 mm are primarily driven by a very thin frame around the screen. In contrast, weight 161 g gives him the title of the second lightest Kindle in history (after the model of Oasis). The eye-catcher is here primarily a fairly significant rounding of the edges and plecków housing.

In all other respects it is rather classic. At the bottom edge you will find MicroUSB connector and the only physical button to and sleep, wake and Reset (after a long hold) Kindle. Below the screen is adorned with the brand logo Kindle, and placed on the back of a large postage Amazon.

Display

8 used in the Kindle display is the E Ink Pearl panel with a diagonal of 6 inches. It works at a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, which gives a density of 167 PPI. Unfortunately, this can be felt in everyday use – especially in a situation where we had previously dealt with screens with higher resolution. Of course there is nothing you could not be used. He himself once used the older version of the reader with a screen resolution exactly and they burned my eyes. The fact that the fonts are somewhat blurred and less severe as compared to Oasis several times more expensive model. But does anyone surprised?

The screen has no backlight, what exactly is its greatest drawback. Of course, hardly require a reader for 350 zlotys were solutions of much more expensive models. I must admit, however, that very soon got used to this mechanism, and I find it hard to imagine it without reading. At the same time I do not have here only thinking of the evening session with a book. Backlight is useful very often – even in situations when the screen falls annoying shadow.
