Test five e-book readers - Computer World (press release)

Interestingly, fewer and fewer people use traditional paper editions. A new trend is e-book readers with backlit E-Ink screens that allow comfortable reading even after dark. We tested five of the most interesting devices, including the popular Kindle Paperwhite II. Let’s see, which one to choose.


Shining screen

Electronic paper in terms of properties like traditional printed publications. Unfortunately, the E-Ink screens are much darker than the paper. The contrast of the text is therefore smaller. This does not change the fact that this is currently the best way to read electronic editions. To improve the ease of reading the producers have released a device with illuminated screens. Self backlight E-Ink is fragile, however, allows to obtain high contrast, and most importantly to read in the dark. was the best reader PocketBook Touch Lux. It has a backlit display and functional interface. Popular Kindle overcomes support for Polish buyers. The winner of awards Price / Quality is also a product PocketBook – Mini. It’s the cheapest reader test.
