COLUMBUS, Ohio – A teen couple accused in a three-state, six-day crime spree have been charged as adults in Pennsylvania.
Sixteen -year-old Triston Kindle, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and 15-year-old Rose May, of Sycamore, Ohio, have been charged in Pennsylvania with felony counts of aggravated assault and robbery. May is also charged with felony counts of criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property and fleeing or trying to elude a police officer.
The two were taken into custody Saturday in West Virginia. Authorities say Their crimes Involved stolen vehicles, armed robbery and injuring a policeman.
Authorities say the manhunt ended because the pair could not swim across the Ohio River. The teens jumped into the river while fleeing police, but turned around when they Realized they would not make it to the other side. The two had crashed and That vehicle had been stolen in Pennsylvania and fled on foot before they were caught, CBS Pittsburgh reported.
