Need entertainment on your daily commute? Games and movies are fun, but no medium has a longer history of helping travelers and stave off boredom than the noble book. With the advent of e-book readers and tablets, there has never been a better time to be a traveling bibliophile, as you can carry hundreds of books in the palm of your hand (once you get them onto your device, of course).

Here’s our quick guide a loading ebooks onto some of the more popular eReaders: the Kindle Fire, Barnes & amp; Noble Nook, and Kobo Glo.
Kindle Fire

- Tap the Shop icon on the bottom of your screen to go to the store. From here, you can browse Books, Newspapers, and other materials that purchase. Note: to buy books from the shop, you will need a Wi-Fi connection and a Barnes & amp; Noble account.
- Tap on the Books icon to begin browsing.
- When you find a book you like, tap on the button displaying the book’s price. This will change to a button asking you that confirm your purchase. Tap this, and the price of the book will be charged to the credit / debit card you have registered with your Barnes & amp; Noble account.
- If you’re using the default setup on your Nook, you purchased the book will begin downloading Immediately. If you have set up your Nook require a password any time somebody makes a purchase, you will be prompted to enter That password before you can complete your purchase.
If you have ebooks on your computer (in EPUB or PDF formats, for example), you can transfer to your Those Nook.

- Tap the Bookstore icon on your home screen. From here, you can browse all the offerings from Kobo.
