Pitman – Girl Scout Meredith Owen, assembled a team of workers that restore missing a few classics to the courtyard of the Kindle School on Saturday.

Meredith, a Pitman resident, will be attending Glassboro High School as a freshman student in the choice program, joining the GHS Fine and Performing Arts Academy. She took on the painting project while Pursuing her Girl Scout Silver Award. This level of accomplishment Requires at least 50 hours of work Including the organization of a team, acquisition of materials, and the execution.
Paint rollers, and brushes were donated by the local Sherwin-Williams. The pattern was Purchased with 300 dollars raised by selling “S’mores in a jar” at the Pitman craft fair Earlier in the year. And while Meredith has until the end of September to finish the project, Troop Leader Heather That Curley reports after Saturday, she has only a small amount of paperwork left to complete.

Mrs. Curley adds That the higher award is completed by only about 5 percent of continuing the Girl Scouts and is a task Meredith will one day have to face on her own.
