For several days I use the Kindle 8, the latest version of the cheap book reader from Amazon. He does not introduce many changes from the previous generation of devices. See for yourself.

99.99 euros to pay for the ad-free version. The reader is available in two colors: black and white. Until now, white Kindle readers were only available in Japan.

This 6-inch touch screen Pearl with a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and 16 shades of gray. Kindle 8 is not equipped with a backlight. for this reason, its screen is not perfectly white, but gray. this can be seen in poor light conditions.
The new Kindle has a Bluetooth module.
The reader can therefore connect headphones and listen to music …? There is help for blind people. Unfortunately I could not find this feature in the settings of the reader. Or was cleverly hidden and you need to unlock it, or is unlocked with the update software.
Kindle 8 is smaller than its predecessor.
Kindle 7 has dimensions of 169 × 119 × 10.2 mm, while in the case of Kindle 8 they are 160 × 115 × 9.1 mm. It is smaller and thinner than the previous version. the latest version of Kindle weighs just 161 g. It is noticeably less than the Kindle 7, which was very massive and weighed 191 g.
Kindle 8 has 512 MB of RAM – twice more than the Kindle 7.
However, I suspect that this difference could not be felt. It does not change the amount of flash memory, which is 4 GB. It may seem that this is not enough, but it allows for a room of hundreds of books. It can not be, however, extended by microSD cards.
The latest generation Kindle has a long duration of action.
According to Amazon the new product has to withstand four weeks no charge. if you read relatively little, this time to actually succeed you get. But even if Kindle will be used intensively, it does not need to be recharged more often than once a week.
Is it worth buying Kindle 8?
If you do not have a similar device and you do not want to not spend too much money, as most do. On the other hand, if you can spend more or you already have an older Kindle, you better choose equipped with a backlight model Paperwhite, which is much better than the basic version of the reader.
