Usually Amazon unveils new Kindle device family without firing up the imagination of consumers, but like most companies producing equipment, struggling with the pre-release leaks. Jeff Bezos this time he decided to forestall the media and he announced the imminent launch of Kindle readers 8th generation.
e-book readers are specialized devices, which in contrast to smartphones and tablets practically do not age. Users usually have no reason to replace them until the previous model will not be damaged.
However this does not Amazonowi in presenting the cycle of new models.
Usually, once a the Amazon introduces new readers to sell. Since several generations of improvements are really … small. The last really significant change was the introduction of Kindle Paperwhite first generation, that is the first e-book reader from Amazon’s backlit screen.
Since then, the sales went a few other readers of e-books from the Kindle family. The sale appeared horribly expensive Kindle Voyage, later from him Kindle Paperwhite 3 and the budget model in the form of Kindle 7 without backlight.
What can be Kindle 8th generation?
Jeff Bezos announced a new device in less than 140 characters. A matter of fact, we know only that the new device – defined by the head of Amazon’s Kindle straight, 8 generation – will be the equipment of the highest quality for avid readers. It can be assumed, therefore, that Amazon plans to launch Kindle Voyage 2.
It’s hard to imagine what the new ebook reader could be better than the previous model. In the first edition of Voyage we have a backlit high-resolution screen, buttons to change pages, and light sensor – and even those are details, which today probably not worth it to pay extra.
I hope that Amazon has an ace up its sleeve, and something will surprise you.
I noticed after his habits of reading, … that more and more often I reach for a tablet, rather than the Kindle, if I do not have plans for a few hours of reading. I hope that Amazon me again encourage the use of the reader, because the current offer does not convince me to change a legacy Paperwhite’a.
Still I dream of e-paper reader with color screen on which I could besides books to read comics. Amazon took admittedly portal ComiXology, which aggregates the comics of the most popular publications, but since taking nothing in this case, unfortunately, has not changed.
Looking for information about the Kindle 8 generation came anyway to the announcement device called Kindle Flame which would appear as early as this month and use Liquavista screen. At first, even on this April Fool’s joke gained, but the Kindle is still just wishful thinking.
